The Surface

Water marbling captures color in motion. Pigment floats on the surface of a prepared bath and is moved by hand to create organic patterns before fabric is carefully laid onto the water and lifted with the design transferred. Because the pattern forms in a single moment, every surface is unique.

These marbled textiles become the foundation for studio collections including pillows, accessories, and collaborative projects with designers.

Water Marbled Textiles & Artisan Surface Design Studio

Shine Your Heart is a studio dedicated to the creation of hand marbled textiles.

Each surface begins as pigment suspended on water and is transferred directly to fabricthrough the traditional marbling process.

The result is a living pattern where color movement, depth, and variation cannot be replicated.
Studio marbling is produced in small batches using carefully selected fabrics that capture the vibrancy and motion of the bath.

Studio Fabrics

Textiles are currently produced using fabrics that best capture color saturation and pattern clarity. Certain fabrics hold color better than others and because of that, we work mostly with Canvas, Denim
Cotton Twill and Cotton-Poly Blend.

Additional fabrics will be introduced as they are tested and approved by the studio.

Studio Textile Panels

Marbled textiles are produced as individual panels rather than continuous yardage. Standard studio panel size 45 × 54 inches
(approximately 1.5 yards)

Panels can be used individually or combined depending on garment or project layout. Each panel captures a unique marbled surface.

Designers and studios sourcing textiles for garments, interiors, or installations can inquire about custom palette development and studio production runs.
